FRAGRANCE NOTES

The most effective way to describe a perfume is based on the fragrance notes. All perfume has three sets of notes.

The top notes also called the headnotes
The middle notes that is the same as the heart notes
The base notes

These three notes sets unfold from the top, through the middle, and down to the base notes gradually with time. Every perfume opens up with its top notes, which are the scents you perceive immediately you spray your perfume—most commonly Mint, Lavender, coriander. This note spend only about 3-5 minutes before it fades. Leaving the middle note to take over.

The middle notes (heart notes) emerge right before the dissipation of the top note. This note forms the main body of the fragrance as they are well rounded and long-lasting than the top notes. Popular notes here are Jasmine, Neroli, Cinnamon, Cardamom, etc.

The middle notes give way for the base notes to give depth and solidity to your every spray. In the sense that, the compounds contained in this note are typically deep and vibrant and mostly not smelt until after 30 minutes of spraying. Thus, it is responsible for the scent of perfume you perceive for as long as 8 hours. At these base notes are Tobacco, Musk, Amber, Cedarwood, Patchouli, Vanilla, Moss, etc.
